Who we are
Controller: Sam Statham Piano (UK, one-person business)
We don’t have a Data Protection Officer or EU representative.
Data we process
- Enquiries/Bookings: name, email and message when you contact us or use the “Compose email” form.
- Technical logs: basic server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps, request data) for security and reliability.
- Social embeds (Twitch/YouTube): only load if you allow “Social media” in Cookie preferences or click to open. Those services may set cookies and process data under their own policies.
- Analytics: currently off by default. If enabled later, it will respect your Cookie preferences.
We do not sell personal data and do not use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects.
Purposes & lawful bases
- Reply to enquiries & manage bookings: contract/steps before a contract; legitimate interests in running the business.
- Operate and secure the site: legitimate interests; legal obligations where applicable.
- Social media embeds: consent (disabled until you allow it).
- Analytics (if enabled later): consent.
Retention
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after last contact (or sooner on request), unless needed for legal reasons.
- Booking records/invoices: typically 6 years for UK tax/accounting.
- Server logs: ~30 days for security/troubleshooting.
- Cookie preferences: stored in your browser (
localStorage

Sharing & transfers
We use common service providers (e.g., hosting, email). Social embeds involve Twitch and YouTube as independent controllers. Data may be processed outside the UK/EU under those providers’ safeguards.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time (does not affect earlier lawful processing). To exercise your rights, email samstathampiano@outlook.com.
